He's one of the f...I do love Saylor's work. He's one of the few mystery writers who work in the historic subgenre to get everything right and still write good mysteries. Just about the only other I can think of is Barbara Hambly/Hamilton. Even Ellis Peters nods frequently.<br /><br />I would like to see an origin story for Gordianus, though.
